The 46th annual Empire State Winter Games run from Thursday 5 February through Sunday 8 February 2026 in Lake Placid, NY and across the Adirondack North Country.
Opening ceremony
The opening ceremony is at the 1980 Arena, Lake Placid Olympic Center, on Thursday 5 February at 7:00 pm.

What’s new in 2026
The 2026 Winter Games host the USAT Winter Triathlon National Championships alongside the standard programme. Nearly 2,800 athletes are expected across the four days.
