Twenty-plus winter disciplines across Lake Placid, Whiteface, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Saranac Lake, and Tupper Lake.
The Winter Games are unusually broad for a state-level event — the Lake Placid Olympic infrastructure makes it possible to contest sliding sports, ski jumping, and figure skating alongside the more common cross country and alpine fields.
